  • What do I need to prepare before the Health Screening?

    Blood Analysis:

    • For accurate cholesterol and glucose results, you will need to have an overnight fast of at least 8 hours before your test. You can drink plain water only.
    • If you are on any prescribed medication, continue with them except your diabetic medication.

    Urine FEME or Stool Analysis:

    • Your urine specimen should be a “mid-stream sample” – that is, collect urine at the mid phase of urination.
    • For ladies who are having menses, it is advisable to do the Urine FEME or Stool test after your period and return the specimens to our screening centre. However, if you wish to continue with both tests, please understand that there may be a presence of blood cells in the Urine FEME test.

    Radiology:

    • Chest X-ray:

      • Ladies are advised to wear a blouse with a skirt or pants instead of a dress (for ease of undressing)
      • Please remove all jewelry and metal containing objects before the test
      • Do inform us if there is any possibility of being pregnant. Pregnant women are not advised to undergo this test
    • Mammogram / Breast Ultrasound :

      • Mammogram is recommended for women >40 years unless recommended by doctors or if you have a medical or family history of breast cancer
      • Breast ultrasound is recommended for women 21-40 years of age
      • Schedule your appointment at the radiology centre within two weeks from your health screening. If possible, you should schedule your appointment one week after your period.
      • You are advised to wear a blouse with a skirt or pants instead of a dress (for ease of undressing)
      • Please refrain from using any powder, perfumes, or deodorant on your breasts or armpits on the day of the test.
      • Please remove all jewelry and metal containing objects on your upper body before the test
    • Pelvis/ Prostate Ultrasound :

      • Drink 4 glasses of water one hour before the test
      • Do not empty your bladder till the test is over
    • Gall bladder/ Liver/ Pancreas/ Full Abdomen Ultrasound :

      • Have an overnight fast of at least 8 hours before the test. You can drink plain water only.
      • If you are on any prescribed medication, continue with them except your diabetic medication.
      • Please refrain from smoking on the day of your test

    Treadmill Stress Test:

    • Please refrain from heavy meals 2 hours prior to the test
    • Please omit morning dose of beta-blockers (Atenolol, propranolol) if you are taking this kind of hypertensive medication
    • Bring along comfortable sportswear and shoes for the test
    • Inform our staff if you have any pre-existing heart conditions

    Tonometry / Retinal Photography:

    • Remove your contact lenses before the test

    Pap Smear:

    • All woman who ever have had sex are advised to have a pap smear done
    • Schedule your appointment five to seven days after your period
    • Refrain from sexual intercourse 48 hours before the test
    • Refrain from using any vaginal douches 24 hours before the test

    Vaccination:

    • Do inform us if you are pregnant or unwell. You are advised not to be vaccinated if you are pregnant or unwell.
  • What are the payment modes available?

  • How will I know my results?

    Your results will be sent to you via an e-report within 10 working days or posted to your mailing address within 21 working days. You may call us to arrange for a post screening consultation with our resident doctors.
