1) What is LUXE, Love and LITE series?
LUXE series provides a medical examination, doctor’s consultation, lifestyle counselling, reviewing of medical history, comprehensive blood analysis & radiology tests. It comprises of 6 packages- Joyance, Radiance, Vibrance, Luminance, Brilliance and Abundance.
Love series is for couples before their marriage and it addresses your key concerns for family planning and personal health. Sunburst provides a complete health screen and examination which covers your concerns over hereditary conditions.
LITE series comprises of progressively inclusive packages- firstLITE, sunLITE & skyLITE. Blood is drawn from an individual so as to provide an baseline analysis of blood tests. Both sunLITE and skyLITE are able to detect the ‘silent killers’ within you.
2) What are the procedures before the Health Screening Exercise?
Blood Analysis
You will have to fast for at least 8 hours beforehand as a blood test will be conducted. Drink only plain water in the morning of the screening. Continue with your usual medication, except Diabetic medication.
Urine or Stool Analysis
For ladies who are having their menses, it is advisable to do the Urine FEME / Stool test after the menses and return the specimen to our screening centre at 290 Orchard Road, Paragon, #16-10 from 9.00am to 3.00pm on weekdays and 9.00am to 12.00pm on Saturday. However if you wish to continue with the urine test for detection of protein and glucose in the urine, or stool test, we seek your understanding that blood cells will be noted in the urine test result.
Radiology tests
For Chest X-ray, ladies are recommended to wear a blouse with a skirt or slacks instead of a dress. You are advised to remove all jewelry and objects containing metal. Declaration of pregnancy is required. Pregnant women are not advised to conduct this test.
For Mammography/ Ultrasound Breasts, book the appointment at the radiology centre within two weeks from your health screening. You are advised to schedule the appointment 5 days after your period. Please refrain from using any powder or perfume on your breast or armpit on the day of the examination. Ladies are recommended to wear a blouse with a skirt or slacks instead of a dress. You are also advised to remove all jewelry on your upper body before the examination.
For Intravenous Urography(IVU), take 2 Dulcolax tablets at 10pm the night before the examination. DO NOT eat or drink 6 hours before the examination unless instructed by clinic.
For Ultrasound Gallbladder/Liver/Pancreas, DO NOT eat or drink 6 hours before the examination.
For Ultrasound Pelvis/ Prostate, Drink 4 glasses of water before coming to the examination. DO NOT empty bladder.
3) Why is fasting necessary?
By fasting, the screening is then able to obtain more accurate results on the glucose level in the blood as well as your cholesterol profile in which the triglycerides reading will be affected.
4) What is Radiology Test?
It consists of Chest X-ray, Mammogram and Ultrasound Breast.
If you experience shortness of breath, a bad or persistent cough, a chest pain or a chest injury, Chest X-ray is recommended. No special preparation is required. Women should always inform their doctor or X-ray technologist if there’s any possibility of them being pregnant.
Mammogram is used in detecting breast cancer. Women in their 40s are recommended to go annually or once every 2 years for those above 50 years of age.
Ultrasound Breast is a technique used to obtain images from high frequency, ultrasonic sound waves. It is radiation free and safe for everyone including pregnant women and children. The risk of developing breast cancer increases with age. Hereditary of breast cancer in the family can also increase the risk. Women in their 40s are recommended to go for it annually.
5) What are the other optional packages?
In LUXE series, we have 6 optional packages- Joyance, Radiance, Vibrance, Luminance, Brilliance, and Abundance.
In Love series, we only have one optional package- Sunburst.
In LITE series, we have 4 optional packages- firstLITE, sunLITE, skyLITE and dayLITE.
6) What is the mode of payment?
You can either pay by cash, NETS, MasterCard or Visa.
7) How will I know and get my result?
For LITE series, it will be posted to your mailing address indicated on the registration form.
For LUXE and Love series, our nurse will call you for the post doctor’s review.
